The Subamplify Shopify app helps merchants manage their subscription-based products with ease. The app simplifies the process of selling and managing recurring products and services, allowing merchants to focus on growing their business. One of the many features of Subamplify is its ability to handle order cancellations efficiently.

Understand Order cancellations

Order cancellations may occur for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to:

  • Customer changed their mind

  • Customer no longer requires the product

  • Incorrect billing information

  • Customer wants to switch to another product

It is important for store owners to have a clear understanding of why an order may be cancelled and to have a process in place for handling such cancellations.

How to process an Order cancellation

To process an order cancellation, follow these steps:

  1. Open your Subamplify dashboard

  2. Find the order you would like to cancel

  3. Click on the order to view its details

  4. Click Cancel Order in the top right hand corner of your dashboard

Understand the cancellation process

Once a cancellation is triggered, it is automatically updated in the Subamplify dashboard. The dashboard provides real-time updates on the status of the cancellation, ensuring that store owners have all the necessary information to manage the process efficiently.

It is important to note that cancellations can only be triggered on an order with a draft or failed status. Once an order has been processed, it cannot be cancelled through Subamplify. In such cases, the merchant must manually cancel the order through their Shopify admin.
